BROOKER CREEK PRESERVE

There’s nothing like a girls’ day in the outdoors – especially when pancakes are involved!

So we headed out to Brooker Creek, which is about 45 minutes outside of Tampa, for some “hiking”. By hiking I really mean trail walking because let’s be real here – we are talking about flat FL here.

When we got to Brooker Creek there was plenty of parking and there was a map that showed us the different trails – 0.7, 1.5, 2.8 and 4 miles. We decided to do the 2.8 mile hike.

Because it had rained a few days prior we didn’t even make it half way before we had to turn around because the trail was flooded.

From what we did hike I can tell you that the trails are really easy and that there isn’t much to see really – no view of a river or anything. I can also tell you that you need 2 things – water and BUG SPRAY.

If you end up with the flooded trail problem too – just do what we did. EAT.

Go get yourself some Ohana macadamia nut pancakes, a breakfast wrap and a veggie sandwich!

How can you not love life after that?
